For centuries, printmaking has helped preserve stories, spread ideas, and bring communities together.
Now, we’re attempting something unprecedented.
In April 2027, a team of artists from across the United States will come together to create and print one massive collaborative woodcut made from 160 individually carved panels spanning more than 5,000 square feet.
Every mark will be carved by hand. Every panel will represent collaboration. And the final image will be printed all at once using industrial road rollers.
This is not just an artwork. It’s a living experiment in community, labor, scale, and handmade process.
We’re inviting the public to help make it possible.
WHERE DONATIONS GO
We are currently raising $7,000 to support:
Wood panels and carving materials
Ink and printing supplies
Transportation of carved blocks
Equipment rentals
Documentation and filming
The final public printing event in Spring 2027
Every donation directly supports the production of the artwork.
